Formula Na3PO4.12H2O, MW 380.14, CAS 10101-89-0. White or colourless granular crystals, efflorescent, easily soluble in water, alkaline solution with pH 12.1 for a 1% solution. In food industry it improves quality, retains water in meat products and enhances binding; also used as emulsifier and nutritional supplement, as a raw material for alkaline noodle water, in sugar refining and in detergents for food bottles and cans. Packed in 25/50/1000 kg plastic-lined woven bags.
